Budget Meal: Ilocos - La Union Experience!

Two weeks ago I got an invitation to join Ilocos Trip. First thing that comes to my mind is to test my endurance in driving. Immediately I planned but one thing hits me back, that is how much fuel will cost me since my car is powered using unleaded gas. Bubbles started to appear as I am thinking who among my friends have diesel powered car and voila! Shyla, a friend of mine owns a truck - a 2017 Ford Ranger! We leave Angeles City by midnight of Friday. We waited for our friends coming all the way from Zambales. We meet them at the SCTEX Clark entry.
Getting ready for the long drive....

There goes Shyla our dear good friend.

For those who wish to know, estimated travel time from Angeles City to Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte is about 12-14 hours (we go as far as Pagudpud) this includes quick stop over for photo ops along the way and some refreshments, on our trip we have additional travel time from Ilocos Norte back to Vigan City for another 3-4 hours since we decided to stay overnight in Vigan. As of this writing some parts of Ilocos and La Union have road repairs which will add up to your travel time.

An accommodation named  Manuel's Inn can be found at the heart of Vigan City. We paid our room for three thousand pesos good for 4 pax.

Our estimated expenses shared by the four of us:

Diesel 2,500.00
Toll Fees ( SCTEX - TPLEX) 1,000
Accommodation 3000.00
Total : 6500.00
Individual Sharing for the four of us (Edwin, Lavhie. Shyla and Beth) : 1625.00

Additional personal budget will be your discretion such as for your foods, pasalubongs, and party drinks =)

To my travel buddies Mudra Edwin, Shyla, Beth let's start saving for our next adventure =)

June 2017: A Trip to Palauig Zambales

(L-R: behind me is Erickson, Nam, Dar and Jigs)
I love travelling. I always look forward to long weekend holidays and spend it with friends and make it blasts!

Straight from Baguio City last Sunday, I met up my friends in Olongapo City at night.

Since we really missed each other we decided to go on a road trip (unplanned).

We just hit the road and drove straight ahead to Iba, Zambales at 2:00 o'clock in the morning. Lucky we have Mark who hosted us that time.

Early morning, Mark suggested that we visit a place in Salaza (one of the barrios of Palauig, Zambales) and that started it all.

This is what I really wanted to share with you! That if you want to have a good "nature feel" experience (free of charge) try visiting this place that we have been.

A clear running and very cold water coming down from a water falls in Palauig, Zambales
(Warning! be extra careful in dipping...water current is really strong.
Do not go in that "bubbly" part...extreme current)
