In the advent of developing and innovating todays learning styles it will demand greater effort for these mentors to be equipped and be trained to deliver the needs of these future nursing professional.
The Association of Deans of Philippine College of Nursings (ADPCN), Inc. is one of the nursing professional organization that advocates in the development and enhancement of the nursing education that they facilitated a two-daw training on Nursing Informatics Instructors Development Program.
The initiative to spearhead this type of seminar especially in the pilot offering of the Nursing Informatics (NI) that aims to equipped instructors were greatly worth a commendation. However, deviations still exist.
It is much appreciated if the APDCN Inc. together with its arm the Philippine Nursing Association Educators (PNEA) would just devise the course syllabi and the instructors guide in order that these nursing schools be guided and will be having a unified approach in alignment to what the organization desires and endeavours in providing the true NI instructions instead of discussing the decentralized topics of using Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for two-days.
